Final Capstone Project

 

For my capstone class, each group had to come up with a strategic plan for our client, Sunflower Outdoor & Bike Shop. We spent the semester researching the industry, taking community surveys, and creating plan-books detailing a marketing campaign from the ground up for the company. Capstone classes embody everything we had learned in our university careers up to that point.

Game Development

 

I took a gamification class that turned out to be much more hands on than expected. My partner and I were required to make a prototype for a mobile video game through Adobe XD. The game had to have some relation to the documentary “Chasing Coral” on Netflix, so we created and designed the game "Ocean Frenzy," an aquatic quizzing game. Neither of us had ever used Adobe XD before, but we are very proud of our work.

Marriott

Research Project

 

For a Research Methods class, my group conducted a semester-long research project on the Marriott Hotel brand and industry. We had to conduct primary and secondary research, conduct our own focus groups and create our own survey questionnaire through Qualtrics. This is one of my favorite projects thus far because I learned a lot about how to more thoroughly understand your brand’s audience through this project.

Print & Digital Ads

 

For my Message Development class, we had to choose a company and create our own print & digital ads as if we were going to publish them. I used Adobe Illustrator to draw the food graphics, then used Adobe InDesign in order to get the layout to look how I wanted. I am so proud of this assignment because of the color schemes that I used and my ability to create images.
